When your heart isn’t pumping well, fluid flows from the blood vessels into the surrounding tissues, and your legs and feet are the most common ailments due to gravity alone. This is known as peripheral edema and many people with it do not have heart disease. Still, it is a very common symptom in patients with heart disease and you should take special care.
