This can be especially evident when we have some authority and are responsible for many people. In this case, we cannot afford to make mistakes or show that we have made mistakes, or we may seem unfit for the leadership role we find ourselves in. In reality, however, people can lose the respect of a boss who refuses to acknowledge that they can sometimes make mistakes.

4. We fear responsibility.

Some people continue to deny this because they believe in simple logic. If you don’t admit that you did something wrong, you don’t have to answer for it. You may be afraid of the consequences that your actions may have. The only way they’ll see is to hide them like this and hope for the best.
