Why did Harry Cry During the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II?

Regret, realization, and resentment. I believe Harry felt fine striking out at his family, thinking Meghan was worth it. Except death is so final. Is Markle worth not hanging out with his grandmother as in the days before he met that manipulative and mean woman and married her? Harry doesn’t seem happy with Meghan very often, and he wants his arm back at least some of the time.

Harry clings to Meghan out of pride, as if he has to prove that he was not wrong in marrying her, but I think that even Harry, who is heartbroken, realizes that he has lost a lot. He did not have a good relationship with Queen Elizabeth or Prince Philip after his marriage, and he may regret it. The marginalization by his family may have made him realize how much his wife cost him.

Harry thought he could waltz in and make it okay between himself and his grandmother or father, but after being around his family it has to have hit Harry just how excluded he is. Prince William even tested Harry to see if he was going to leak information. William told Harry the Queen’s body would come from Scotland via the royal train when he knew the Queen would be flown home.

Harry did inform his spokesman and the news was leaked. Yet again. That proved to the royals Harry cannot be trusted, so they made sure to stay far from him and his wife. Being left in the cold without any directions from his Queen to make nice and include Harry must have been a wake-up call of sorts.

Harry either realized he cannot get back any time with his grandmother, or he realized his greatest friend in that family is now gone for good. I cannot say which emotion hit him. I like to think Harry regrets marrying so poorly, and he wished he had visited the Queen more in those final years. I like to think Harry knows he messed up hugely and for what? Nothing. He gained nothing since his unfortunate marriage to Markle. He’s lost a great deal since then.

Harry appears to have moments of clarity, and while he’s fine with Meghan leaking information (and they fight if he doesn’t go along with her and her schemes), Harry did love Queen Elizabeth once upon a time. I wonder if he felt the finality of his actions, knowing King Charles is going to act differently towards him now that he is the monarch.

I wonder if Harry sees the end of his marriage approaching and felt remorse. I think he felt the loss of never being able to apologize, explain himself, or have a lunch date with the Queen ever again. Meghan won’t let him out of her grasp, especially when he travels to Europe. She doesn’t want his family intervening and bringing him back to the reality that Markle is bad news, so she gloms onto him. Does Harry see it now? Being late to Balmoral due to fighting with Meghan again cost him. Does he see it?

I think Harry might have also felt resentment and frustration that his family is now playing hardball with him. Gone are the gentler days of Queen Elizabeth, as far as he is concerned. Now the people left aren’t nearly as willing to suffer his news leaks, his lies, and misinformation, and Harry probably sees lots of bad news coming his way. No titles for the unseen children, loss of titles for him, and loss of being included would wound him and his pride.

I think Harry saw all he lost, and then he looks at his wife and regrets her efforts to separate him from his family and the Queen. Meghan is a leech, and she’ll hang on until she has no more use for him. Harry just woke up a bit and felt a bit of remorse, perhaps. Regret over lost time, resentment over all he has lost about his family now that the Queen has passed, remorse over the way he treated his grandmother (just a smidge, maybe), and Harry might realize how final the Queen’s death is.

Harry has squandered away so much since 2016 and the advent of Meghan. Maybe he’s starting to realize Meghan wasn’t such a great catch after all. Maybe. Though I think he hangs on over Archie and his wounded pride.

Was Harry crying for himself and his losses, or was he crying over the way he mistreated the Queen in her final years?
