Yes, Prince William remembers his mother Diana very well. William was fifteen years old when his mother died in a car accident and spent a lot of time with her. As an intelligent and observant child, William remembers Diana, Princess of Wales very well. As is often the case after a person’s death, William remembers mostly the good things he experienced with her.
What Prince William said about his mother shows how much he remembers her. She loved to sing at the top of her lungs in the car and the young princes would join her. To ease William’s fear of going back to boarding school, his mother would play songs and sing, and the song he associates with Diana is “The Best” by Tina Turner. He says that sometimes even the security guards in the car would sing along with him.

William wants to remember her and talk about her to his children. He also once said that she was a nightmare grandmother: Diana used to spoil Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. William said he liked to bathe them when they were little, putting bubbles and water everywhere.

Diana changed the way the royal family raised their children, as she was a very active mother and took her children on long trips. And that’s not all: the princess wanted her children to have a normal life, from lines in a park to roller coasters and McDonald’s. William remembers these excursions fondly, and in turn is raising his children with Catherine, Princess of Wales, in an equally (if not more) practical way.

I would say that Prince William still remembers his mother very well what she said and did, the values she stood for, and the love she had for her two children. I think her upbringing influenced the way she raised her children and the way the Middleton family enjoys family togetherness.
