Harry was so excited about his move to California and thought he would be “sitting at a big table with all the big players,” according to an insider. In London, all he had to do was snap his fingers and people would line up to invite him to their fancy parties. But that didn’t happen with him and Meghan, and that’s a real slap in the face.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their posts at the palace in 2020 to seek fame and fortune in Meghan’s old haunts in Tinseltown. But sources revealed they are dealing with the toxic aftermath of their split from Harry’s 38-year-old relative and have been snubbed by the entertainment elite and found themselves on the C-list.

There’s no denying, of course, that Meghan and Harry have already used their royal connections (and titles) to swindle a veritable fortune. And that’s since they made their fateful plan to live like royalty in America, without all the pesky obligations. The problem is that, as in love, they realize that money can’t buy star status.

Their biggest failure in this regard is undoubtedly the spectacle they allowed the second-rate Kennedys to use to gain real influence. This is by accepting the RFK Human Rights Ripple of Hope Award (at a Dec. 6 gala) for their “heroic stand against racism.”

Finally, even Meghan and Harry can’t help but notice how inappropriate it is to accept this award. But, as I commented here about this unworthy award, they are now stuck in America as little more than paid honorary staff.”
A red flag for Harry in this regard must have been his wife’s royal appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show a year ago. Meghan making silly jokes with unsuspecting viewers at Ellen’s behest.
Angela Levin, a biographer of the royal family, called her performance “one of the worst things I’ve ever seen…. she couldn’t sink any lower.” But I suspect Meghan’s imperiousness is so numbing that she couldn’t understand why the jokes might have been directed at her. It is not without some irony, however, that Bazaar titled its coverage of Meghan’s performance “A Royal Prankster.” After all, the fact that he is a royal prankster is partly responsible for the royal family’s decision to consider Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York/Pig, persona non grata “vulgar.”
Anyway, I’m sure Meghan can abandon her royal duties in the UK for royal banter in the US. Not to mention that I can’t imagine a self-respecting woman willing to perform silly human tricks to entertain Ellen’s television audience. At least the animals David Letterman had doing stupid tricks on his show were animals who couldn’t do any better.
On the other hand, Meghan may have inadvertently proven that you can marry a B-star to a king, but you can’t turn a B-star into a king.

But there is something strange about Harry. Because if you think he has a more royal judgment, you’re wrong. Unfortunately, nothing makes him judge like that:
Jemima Khan, a close friend of Princess Diana, has stopped work on the script for the Netflix series “The Crown” because the story was not being treated “with the respect or compassion” she had hoped, she said.
Khan, a well-known film and television producer, was part of Diana’s social circle at the time. He has never spoken publicly about their friendship, but told The Sunday Times, “It was very important to me that the last years of my friend’s life were portrayed accurately and compassionately, which has not always been the case in the past.
Recall the public spectacle when Harry declared it was a categorical imperative to turn his back on his country because the media had treated his mother badly. He was undoubtedly persuasive when he said that he feared the same thing would be done to his wife. So you would think he would join Khan in denouncing Netflix for this portrayal.
One can forgive the creator of The Crown, Peter Morgan, for thinking that if Harry doesn’t care, then who is Jemima to complain? This $100 million deal was enough for Harry to neglect his media company and do to his mother what he had turned his back on his country for protesting the actions of British media companies.
