When Did These Odds Shots Take Place?

Very interesting Background story from these odds shots taken one day ago. Jim Bennett, one of the photographers, explained to the NY Post that he and his partner Kelvin Bruce had been commissioned by a media outlet to take a picture of the Prince of Wales at the CW ceremony.

He added: “We don’t edit our photos with Photoshop, except to adjust the lighting when necessary.” The cars were leaving Windsor Castle and I photographed them a little further along Datchet High Street, more precisely in front of house number 39. Photos of cars are unpredictable at the best of times and, with the reflections on the windshield, it can be difficult.”

“In fact, it wasn’t until I checked the back of the camera for a picture of Prince William that I realized there was someone sitting next to him. It turned out to be Catherine!

Bennett also clarified that it wasn’t the royal family who published the photograph. It was syndicated in the US, by the photo agency ‘GooffPhotos’ very interesting indeed. However, what she did next was very calculated: She dressed in dark clothing so they could not immediately spot her clearly in the car as the windows were a bit tinted. Then, she pointedly positioned her head to look AWAY from the camera; Something Catherine has never done in a car shot, and there is a clear significance in body language.

Catherine is an Art history major and graduated Hons with her upper second master of Art. So she never talks much but expresses herself through her clothes and creatively.

Turning her face away signifies disinterest, but also challenge and dissatisfaction, and that’s exactly what she wanted to express.

She sent a clear message: she is alive, she is there, by her husband’s side and she is not interested in being photographed by any outsider; She turned abruptly, in contrast to the joy and openness of her face when she saw her husband surrounded by her children.

Catherine is no longer “Kate Middleton”; the reserved 23-year-old unprotected from paparazzi on London streets for 5 years. She is the wife of the Heir to the throne and a very high-profile future queen. She has the influence, she has the resources and she will use them to make sure her husband, her children, and their Monarchy are protected.
