Prince William: The True Pioneer in the Fight Against Tabloid Intrusion, Not Prince Harry

The Unbreakable Bond That Broke: Prince William and Prince Harry

I am glad a community note was added to Harry’s new CGI whine-fest interview.

As he sits there with colored hair and a retouched look, he pretends that phone hacking is revolutionary and says it would be nice if his father and brother joined him in his “fight” against the tabloid press.

Well, Harry, it would be nice if you stop lying for once because Prince William was the pioneer who brought the case to light, 20 years ago, when it comes to fighting the Tabloids against Press intrusion into his private life, Prince William has been the pioneer who dared at the young age of 23 to boldly warn the media to protect Catherine’s privacy and to go after Murdoch and sue a whole news agency for invading not only his privacy but Catherine and Harry’s privacy as well.

However, William never gave interviews in which he publicly asked for recognition for what he had done and done well. No, it was Harry who 20 years later claims to have been the first to send a letter demanding privacy for Meg, or the pioneer in the phone hacking case.

How can Harry fight the tabloids when the media has paid him for the past five years to give interviews, appear on Netflix, and write a book while betraying his own family for money?

How is Harry fighting the tabloids when he is employed as a Netflix show puppet and has become a rent-a-prince in the US, while his wife chases paparazzi around town to pap her in parking lots?

Better question yet, What impact has Harry had on the Tabloid since he declared “war” on them?

Absolutely None. He settled his cases with Zero Impact, As a sharp contrast, Prince William lives his life Quietly because he genuinely wants his privacy. But when the press violates the privacy of his closest confidants, he always responds harshly.

In 2005, a private investigator for News to the World hacked William’s answering machine and published the contents of his conversation with Tom Bradby. During this process, the massive phone hacking scandal, which lasted several years and involved other officials, celebrities, and members of the royal family, came to light.

The case went on from 2005 to 2011 when it exploded in a big finale. The results?

  • In August 2006, the royal editor for NTW, Clive Goodman, and private investigator, Glenn Mulcaire, were arrested by the Met Police. They were charged with hacking the telephones of members of the RF by accessing voicemail messages.
  • On January 26, 2007, Goodman and Mulcaire pleaded guilty and were sentenced to four and six months in prison, respectively. On the same day, Andy Coulson’s resignation as director of NTW was announced.
  • Amid a public backlash and the withdrawal of advertising, News International announced the closure of the newspaper NTW on 7 July 2011.
  • The case led to the Leveson Inquiry, which published the Leveson Report in November 2012, examining the general culture and ethics of the UK media.
  • In 2020 after suing the Murdoch Newspaper seeking Damages for being hacked 35 times and Catherine 155 times, Prince William finally received one of the largest settlements, £1 million, which he donated to charity

LATEST ROYAL NEWS:

So what is Harry babbling about, 20 years later when the scandal and impact are made?

Harry has always fed off William’s work behind the scenes. He appropriates William’s ideas and then runs to the media to take credit for them, trying to push William out of the picture.

It is what happened with Invictus; their charity work and fight against press intrusion.

More to the point, Ask yourselves why, 5 years since he left the RF, Harry has been incapable of coming up with new viable projects or ideas.

After all, Prince William was the creative mind from the start and now their paths have parted.

So H. continues to wallow in the past, while William continues to develop worthwhile new projects and succeed in everything he does.
