Did you ever wonder if Catherine was experiencing pain or discomfort in the months leading up to her surgery? She concealed it so well, and now that we know she felt unwell, I’m truly saddened by what she endured. Yet, I admire her even more for never assuming the role of a victim. Just look at her smile!
Catherine maintained a demanding royal schedule while raising her children and quietly managing her health with her doctors. When I heard the princess was scheduled for surgery in January, I looked back at her photos from December and saw no indication of her pain.
Catherine is currently receiving chemotherapy, and it might be some time before she returns to her royal duties in front of the camera. I hope she takes her time. If her priority is her family, that’s exactly where her focus should be.
With the family also facing the king’s cancer diagnosis and the announcement that he won’t be pursuing treatment to instead focus on his life, it’s a challenging period for them to witness Catherine going through this too. Given her young age, chemo is a sensible option, and she needs to be there as a mother for many years.
I pray that Charles and Catherine remain well and safe for many years.
On a lighter note, isn’t it interesting that Harry and his wife have had yet another staff member quit? They must be difficult people to work for, not to mention being around. Hopefully, the Balmoral Summit will lead to some positive decisions.
