The Princess of Wales is giving Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis a childhood reminiscent of her own — one filled with fresh air, open spaces, and cherished family moments. In an emotional revelation, Kate Middleton opened up about why she and Prince William made the decision to move their family from the bustling streets of London to the serene countryside of Windsor in 2022.
This heartfelt moment came during a conversation with soldiers from the Irish Guards after attending the unit’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17. The Princess of Wales, 43, who serves as the ceremonial Colonel of the British Army regiment, participated in the parade at the Wellington Barracks in London. This city was once home to Kate, William, and their three children before their big move.
“We Are in Windsor at the Moment”
While chatting with guardsmen and their families after the parade, Kate was asked where she and her family now reside.
“We are in Windsor at the moment,” she shared warmly. “We were in London but moved there for more green space.”
