The recent meeting between Prince William and President-elect Donald Trump underscores the unique diplomatic role of the British monarchy. While key government officials, including the UK Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, have yet to engage with the incoming U.S. leader, Prince William stepped into a crucial role to strengthen UK-US relations. This significant gesture highlights the monarchy’s enduring influence on the global stage.
The fact that it took the Heir to the throne to be the first UK official to meet with the Newly elected President Before the King and the Prime minister is noted.
The fact that it took him to be entrusted with setting aside any political difference to show proper respect and diplomacy to a US president, is a dire indictment of the incompetence of the current labor government.
There used to be a time when leaders were also diplomats and were able to sit at the same table, regardless of their political ideology. Now, everyone is in their tiny feelings.

These images perfectly illustrate why Prince William continues to top all the polls for British kings and leaders: his ability to be respectful, courteous, and, as a diplomat, to represent the UK’s interests on the international stage, no matter who he meets.

In 2019, when Trump first visited the UK as president and was received by the Queen at a state banquet, Prince William and Catherine came to welcome them as it was their duty. There was opposition to him even visiting, but Catherine and William, along with the other senior royals all showed up.
Only Meghan did not attend. It would have been the only banquet of her life, but she preferred to stay home because she doesn’t like Trump.
Instead of acting as “a Royal”, she chose to act as “a Hollywood celebrity”, because that is all she is and will ever be.

This is the difference between those who have it to be royals and those who will never fit in.
