Reporter Kate Mansey pointed out an old video of Jack Whitehall from TalkSport in May 2023, in which he revealed that he first performed for the then-Prince Charles during a Christmas party at Kensington Palace and that during one of his jokes:
“I referred to the fact that I went to school with Kate Middleton and kept calling her ‘the runaway‘, which didn’t please King Charles at all.”
So KC reported the joke back to his son, Prince William because when William and Jack met in person later, William made sure to assert his territory. Jake continued: “And that got reported back to Prince William because when I did the Royal variety show and he was there and we did the royal line up, he came up and grabbed my hand and squeezed it hard and he said ‘Apparently you’ve been chatting up my Missus'”
