Are horse fly bites dangerous?

This is because brakes carry infectious anemia in horses, also known as swamp fever.
If they bite a horse, they can transmit this deadly disease. If a horse is infected, it may have a fever, bleeding, and general illnesses. Some horses have no symptoms, but can still spread the disease to other horses.
