I would think anyone who is the subject of their child’s memoir might be a bit concerned about what might be written, especially if they are essentially estranged. But panicked? No. King Charles has so much control over this situation, and in reality it’s Harry who should be feeling panicked. His future is on the line.
Who knows what Harry wrote about, but the title alludes to some pity story about a position he has never truly owned, even though Diana called Prince William the heir (apropos) and Harry was the spare. Spare. Rather sad for a title about Harry’s journey from the prince he was to the man he has become (his words paraphrased, not mine). Will he write about race? Diana and her death? The terrible generational pain he alone suffered? How Diana loved him more than William? How Meghan restored him to being a man?
Do you see how potentially laughable these subjects might be?
All the lies Harry and Meghan have told since they started dating have piled up into a mountain of mistruths and deception the world sees now. If the royal family was that structurally racist why would Harry and Meghan want to work as part-time royals? Wouldn’t they rather get as far away from the stain of royalty as they could? Why use the titles of an institution that stifled them into barely surviving their short time as working royals?
It’s not logical, because the couple who is on the edge of separating or divorcing, wanted the royalty. They needed that connection to they and thrive, but their dreams turned to dust and ashes. So they decided to tell big lies about the royals, though some tales in the book will have to have the essence of truth to be salable. The interview in South Africa was the first punch aimed at the monarchy, and Oprah was second. Told as Prince Philip was dying, the lies didn’t help anyone; especially the lowbrow liars from Montecito.

There were many swipes taken at the Queen, which is disgusting now that we know she was suffering with a type of incredibly painful cancer, but once the dust cleared we still saw the beauty and pageantry associated with the monarchy. At her Platinum Jubilee the Queen along with now King Charles, now Queen Camilla, Prince William, Catherine the Princess of Wales and their three lovely children looked regal, happy to be celebrating with people from all walks of life, and excited to be together after the long lockdowns of the pandemic.
Harry and his wife watched from the sidelines and chose to fly home early rather than enjoy Queen Elizabeth’s big moment.
So it is Harry who should be panicking now. His book is not selling, as Amazon was giving it away for free over this past weekend, and he will lose everything if he makes the King, the Queen or the Prince and Princess of Wales look bad. Besmirch their good names at his own peril, and Harry knows it.
Word is the couple are having huge fights about attending the lower Kennedy’s award show, while the JFK line of the Kennedys will be in Boston with William and his Earthshot Prize. If there are fights about the award, imagine the arguments about Harry’s (with great input from Meghan) book.
King Charles will be able to pull Harry’s titles of duke, earl and baron, and it looks like he might lose his place in the line of succession. Archie or whoever it is and the daughter would never be made a prince or princess, and they will be pulled from the line of succession also. If Harry steps over the line of decency and truthfulness, he might even lose his birthright. Prince.

Could Harry lose that which he has always depended upon? Is it possible? Is Harry panicked?
King Charles knows the world is tired of the meaningless words and acts of the duplicitous couple living in California. Whatever Harry wrote, we know he tried to edit the book after the death of Queen Elizabeth. What was he amending? Did the way his family ignored him in September finally drive home the message?
Harry knows. He could stop being a prince on top of everything else disappearing. And with that gone, Meghan likely won’t stay with him any longer. She wanted his titles, not his love. Harry stands to lose everything, and he might not be smart enough to feel the rise of bile in his throat as he panics over what he’s about to do. To himself.
