After many infiltration attempts, he ended up detained in French prisons where he was held for years, before having access to the French airport of Charles de Gaulle, where he chose to leave for England and indeed boarded the plane and Heathrow arrived.

According to his claim, Mehran lost his handbag containing all his paperwork, which prompted Heathrow authorities to prevent him from entering the UK and to return him to his next destination.
