Prince Harry’s Desperate Quest for Accolades A Tale of Ego, Jealousy, and Public Backlash

As my grandmother used to say, “In life, it is better to feign modesty so that the landlord will let you in through the front door than to proudly enter his house and be thrown out the back door.”

Harry never learned this lesson. First, it was Pat McAfee, a sports analyst and former NFL Punter, who criticized Prince Harry’s nomination for the ESPYs Pat Tillman Award, calling it “probably the most embarrassing thing I’ve seen in my entire life.”

Now, even more humiliating, Pat Tillman’s mother, Mary, also spoke against awarding the prize to him, saying: “I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award.”

Some beneficiaries deserve it much more. Some people work in the veterans’ community and do extraordinary things to help them. These people don’t have Prince Harry’s money, resources, contacts, or privileges. I think these people should be recognized. This is what happens when a deeply insecure person has a big ego but is not naturally gifted with the physical ability nor the mental capacity to achieve what his big ego envisioned, on merit.

Harry’s biggest problem, however, is his crippling jealousy of Prince William, his brother. This is the cause of Harry’s desperate quest for awards and accolades. This whole month of June has been an epic triumph for Prince William: From him representing The King and the UK on the World Stage during D-day 80; to his returning to the spotlight with his whole family during Trooping The Colour; From Catherine celebrating her husband with Both his Father’s Day picture and his birthday picture breaking the internet, to his picture with Taylor Swift and his attendance at her concert breaking the internet.

So, of course, Harry had to do something; his “archnemesis” William was getting accolades from World leaders, celebrities, and the public, to the point where the press even had to admit his triumph begrudgingly. Meanwhile, Harry was exposed in court during the disclosure stage for ‘deliberately destroying’ evidence in his court case:

  • He deleted all the messages with his Spare ghostwriter after launching a case against The Sun newspaper;
  • He destroyed over 36,000 emails between him and Palace staff;
  • Also, the court previously demanded ‘two encrypted hard drives’ which his legal team said were ‘no longer in existence.’

Well, after the judge pressured them, suddenly this week, Harry’s solicitors announced they had been ‘found,’ one in Harry’s mansion and the other at the offices of his US attorney.

LATEST ROYAL NEWS:

So Harry decided it was time to, once again, use Invictus Veterans to massage his ego and buy himself a Pat Tillman Award.
Well, this rich boy’s tantrum only worsened things for him.

Prince William once wisely said: “I think it’s essential to decide for yourself what you are. So you are responsible for your actions, so don’t blame others.”

In there lies Harry’s pain: he lacks gratefulness because he is not living the life he wanted. That is why he blames everybody else for his failures and bitterly refuses to accept the consequences of his choices; that is also why he pays for the spotlight and accolades. He is not happy with his life choices.

Prince William, in contrast, is living the life he wanted as he wanted it, and it shows in the way he is grateful for what he has; maturing with confidence and focusing on his projects, duties, and family life; He never does drama nor seeks accolades, yet he gets the praises organically.

As my Nan says: “Make sure in life to choose well during your present, or you will spend your future bitterly regretting your past.”
