Prince William has sparked excitement after subtly addressing whether he might attend the highly anticipated wedding of Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce.
During an appearance on the U.K. radio show Heart Breakfast on Friday, May 22, the Prince of Wales, 43, was asked directly if he had received an invitation to the couple’s upcoming summer wedding.
With a smile, William responded, “No comment. I’m hoping there might be an invitation around, but we’ll see.”
His lighthearted answer immediately fueled speculation about whether the royal could make a surprise appearance at one of the most talked‑about celebrity weddings of the year.

A Royal Swiftie Moment
William’s comments come nearly a year after he attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London in June 2024 alongside his children, Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 11. The concert, held at Wembley Stadium, coincided with William’s birthday.
Speaking on the radio show, William described the experience as “amazing,” revealing that Princess Charlotte in particular is a huge Swift fan.
“We were quite far from the stage, but the atmosphere was incredible,” he shared, adding that the crowd’s energy was so powerful it made the floors shake.
The royal family members also met Swift backstage, along with Travis Kelce, and posed for photos that later circulated widely on social media. William publicly thanked the singer for a “great concert,” while Swift shared a birthday tribute post calling the London shows a “splendid start.”

What We Know About the Wedding
Taylor Swift, 36, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, 36, announced their engagement on August 26 last year in a joint Instagram post. The couple captioned it humorously:
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Despite intense public interest, the couple has kept wedding plans largely private.
In a September appearance on the New Heights podcast, co-hosted by Travis and his brother Jason Kelce, guest Jimmy Fallon asked about wedding entertainment plans. Travis hinted that live music could be part of the celebration, saying, “We’re live music kind of people.”
According to sources cited by PEOPLE, the couple intends to keep the ceremony intimate. “It will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle,” the source shared, noting that Swift and Kelce value their close circle of friends and family.

Will There Be a Royal Guest?
While no official guest list has been confirmed, Prince William’s recent remarks have added intrigue to the event. Given his previous interaction with Swift and the friendly exchange backstage at the Eras Tour, a royal appearance—though unconfirmed—remains a possibility.
For now, fans will have to wait and see whether a royal RSVP makes its way to one of the year’s most anticipated weddings.
