6) Fear of Competition
It is easy to place ourselves down about others, especially when it involves dating. once we meet someone we like, it’s only too easy to think, “He/she could do better.” once we see that somebody else is curious about the person we like, we could also be quick to retreat. We may feel unwilling to compete, particularly as we grow old, and that we start to possess self-attacks like, “Your time has passed, you’re too old for this.”
We could also be scared of looking sort of a fool or of not being chosen. We may even have fears about winning the competition, thinking we’ll “hurt the opposite person’s feelings” or that our success will end in aggression from the loser. the straightforward truth is: Dating is competitive. it’s scary to require an opportunity and choose what we would like and compete, but once we do, we most frequently find it’s well worthwhile to face our fears. We find yourself with a stronger sense of self, and that we increase our chances of making a relationship with the partner we desire.
