People, please understand how the military operates and why deception doesn’t last long within its ranks. What do you think military medals are?
Just jewelry or decorations on a uniform to make it more colorful? Medals on a service member’s chest narrate their military history.
They signify the length and, more importantly, the quality of their service.
There are basic medals that every soldier receives for participating. Then, there are specific medals reserved for those who went above and beyond in their service.
Service members who excel are the ones who deserve special awards and recognition, not just anyone who did what everyone else did. This is the essence of the meritocracy system of the military versus the mediocrity system of today’s society. Let’s look at Harry’s PR history:
- His PR claims he is a war hero who killed 25 Taliban in combat and flew in war conditions to save “countless” lives.
- Well then, that should entitle him, as a British commanding officer in the UK military, to at least the Victoria Cross, awarded in exceptional circumstances for extreme bravery and devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy.
- Or, it should entitle him to either the Distinguished Service Order or the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross, which recognizes outstanding leadership during active operations against the enemy.
Now, look at Harry’s chest: Where are those medals? Where are his bravery medals?

Nowhere, because the story of “bravery at war” is a fictional PR tale not actually based on facts.
Harry served two deployments. The first one was merely ten weeks, less than the minimum deployment to Afghanistan required at the time. The second deployment had to be cut short because, when his camp was attacked (Camp Bastion), the army had to divert resources to provide Harry with personal bodyguards to keep him safe in a bunker while non-royal soldiers fought to defend the camp.
So, where are Harry’s war hero medals since he wants to sell himself as one of the best? Nowhere. The only medal he wears for deployment is the basic one given to anyone present in Afghanistan.
Harry served, but he had a bland service. People with bland military service live their lives quietly.
Yet, Harry is the one who wants accolades that true war heroes, such as those awarded the Silver Star and the MSM, receive. For what quality of service?
This is why he is being criticized: for his lack of truth, humility, and greed. If you want accolades, then first achieve something worthy of them.
Prince Philip was a war hero who fought during WWII, even as a blue-blood prince. He excelled academically and was daring, brave, and devoted to the Royal Navy.
His chest medals tell his story and quality of service.
Prince Harry, on the other hand, was a pampered prince who needed the army to restore his bad reputation and showed up for his photo-op service. His chest medals also tell his story and quality of service.
Military service is not about PR stories; it is literally on the service member’s chest.
