7. You Stay Sick Longer

Drinking water allows your body to continuously shed toxins. Your organs work to filter some debris, like a machine, but if you don’t feed the machine with water, it can’t function properly. What ultimately happens in a dehydrated body is that the organs begin to draw water from stored places like your bloodstream, which causes a whole new problem.
8. You Have Digestive Problems
We talked earlier about the mucus in our mouths and throats, and how to stay hydrated makes the membrane work properly. This also applies to the entire digestive system. Without proper hydration, the amount and strength of mucus in the stomach decrease, causing great damage in the stomach. This leads to what we usually call heartburn and indigestion.
