Despite grains having gotten a nasty rap in recent years, some types are healthy. This includes some gluten-free, whole grains that are loaded with fiber and contain an honest amount of protein also. Notable examples include oats, rice, and quinoa. If you’re on a low-carb diet then you’ll be wanting to avoid grains, because they’re high in carbohydrates.
