Why did Prince Charles marry Princess Diana?

Lady Diana Spencer was looking forward to the beginning of her life, which meant getting married and having children. All her life, her family joked that she would marry Prince Andrew, which suited Diana. Then her older sister started dating Prince Charles, and when the affair ended, Diana imagined what it would be like to date the prince. When she met him at a polo match, she flirted with him a little and decided she’d rather marry him than Andrew.

At first, Prince Charles looked at Diana as if she was too young and inexperienced for him because Charles liked worldly, up-to-date, sexually seductive, and intellectually stimulating women. Lady Diana may not have been very cultured, but she behaved slavishly and lovingly with the object of her desire. When Prince Charles realized how flattering it was to have a beautiful woman in love with him, he began to have different feelings toward Diana.

They saw each other more often, as Diana wanted to marry the world’s most coveted bachelor, and he began to make advances to her. Diana was a sensual woman and had no qualms about having sex with Prince Charles. Charles was in his late 30s and no longer a virgin, but with Lady Diana, he took it slow. Before long, Diana fell in love with Charles.

Meanwhile, the press followed the romance with great interest. Prince Charles was about to get married, was getting older, and had met a beautiful English rose. His father asked him to act or let Diana go before his reputation was tarnished. Everyone agreed that Diana was perfect for Charles. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting at Balmoral. Diana also liked listening to classical music and going to the ballet, so they seemed to get along well.

The only person who expressed reservations was Queen Elizabeth. She felt that another type of woman would have suited him and his temperament better, but Prince Charles fell in love with Diana. This is a departure from the usual narrative: Diana thought she loved Charles, but he did not; they married anyway. This is not what I have heard recently. Charles fell in love with Diana after he got engaged to her because she always did everything he liked, was very intimate with him, and was in love with him.

They loved each other! That’s why they got married. For love.

They spent part of their honeymoon in Balmoral, Scotland, and Prince Charles knew they would both enjoy hiking, stargazing, fishing together, and reading. They might even swim a little, and Diana was an excellent swimmer and diver, but Diana didn’t know herself yet. How was she to know that she would eventually want to dance at the disco? How could she know that Charles had prepared himself for a life of study? But they were still in love. They were in love.

I was so shocked when I heard this news because I thought Prince Charles had never loved Diana, even though he had! Yes, Charles had two confidants, Camilla was one of them, but they were just friends. Prince Charles and Diana tried to patch things up as they had done during their courtship. And that’s why Charles married Diana. He thought she was wonderful with him and for him, and he expected her to spoil him throughout the marriage.

But they loved each other. And they had a good physical relationship with each other. Until… Well, that was for another time.
