Why Did The Marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Become a Global Phenomenon?

Diana was kind, sweet, pretty, young, thoughtful, and loving, and the world wanted to watch the Prince and Princess of Wales’s life as it unfolded. Princess Diana fell asleep in her chair at a royal party, so the Palace announced her impending motherhood. The lovely couple was going to have a baby before their marriage was a year old! Such matrimonial bliss was confirmed by how quickly Diana fell pregnant.

Watching the first few years of their marriage was fun, and many of us had no idea the marriage was faltering. When Prince William was born all seemed well, and Harry was born two years later, so many royal watchers wanted to believe the fairy tale. We were all invested in this relationship, we watched it from almost the very beginning, and the fairy tale wedding was simply the start of something magical.
